Did you know the Seamaster is the longest running model in Omega’s catalogue?

With watches like this one, we think that actually makes total sense.

This Seamaster with reference 165.001, produced from 1960 (with production ending in 1969) is actually a pretty early offering – seeing as the Seamaster line debuted in 1948.

It’s also a rather pretty offering; this 34,5 mm watch sports a white sunburst dial, with polished multi-facetted indices and a polished Omega logo applied to it. Time can be read by looking at the polished dauphine hands. The sharp look of the hands complement the point stick indexes like they were childhood friends during their Omega machine shop years, and form a nice contrast with the soft look of the light sunburst dial.

Inside beats the Omega caliber 552 movement, delivering the performance you would expect from such a looker. Wear it in the office, or wear it near the sea while sipping Martini’s – it feels home either way 😉
