Vintage Omega Geneve 135.041 1968 Stainless Steel

A Stunning Omega Genève from 1968 (serial 27xxxxxx). This watch has been completely serviced in May 2020 and runs perfectly. The reference number is 135.041 and it houses the manual wind caliber 601 movement.

This stainless steel embodiment of Omega craftsmanship fits perfectly in any collection and the 35mm size makes it fit on every wrist! In my opinion the best size for a vintage dresser. The case is remarkably clean with no visual imperfections. The case-back has some scratches but nothing significant. Winding this watch is pure joy. The mechanism is extremely smooth and the movement runs immediately after winding. The original crown is still attached and it even has the original Omega signed crystal!

Overall an amazing vintage watch with leather strap and Omega signed stainless steel buckle. You can never go wrong with this one.

What we love:

-Runs immediately after winding it a couple of times.
-Clean steel case
-Completely original
-Full serviced in May 2020

What you should know:

-Small scratches on the case-back, nothing major.

In 1968 Omega was the first to introduce electronic timekeeping for all olympic games at the olympic games of Mexico-city. Furthermore, 1968 was a year of triumphs and tragedies. While America reached new heights by introducing the first 747 and orbiting the moon, all was not well down on Earth. The United States lost two important men in history: Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy.
