Vintage Omega Stainless Steel Sub-Second 2902-3 SC 1952

A stunning vintage Omega dress watch from 1952 (13xxxxxx). This particular watch features an attractive sub-second part on the dial and a combination of both spear indices and Arabic numerals. The manual wound caliber 283 movement of this watch runs great. The reference number 2902-3 SC has been less well documented over the years and comes in all sorts of shapes and configurations. A truly understated example of a vintage omega dress watch. A true all-rounder and a great way to start your collection!

What we love:

– Get the 50’s vibe with this clean and timeless sub-second watch.
– Beautiful 33mm dress size

What you should know:

– Small scratches on the dial right under the “Omega” text
– The watch has been checked and no service was deemed necessary. Amplitude was high and daily variation low.

In 1952 the Constellation was first introduced. The chronometer watch that set accuracy records and one that would change the world of watches. Also in 1952, Dwight Eisenhower elected President over Adlai Stevenson by a wide margin. What kind of watch would he have worn during his election run? Was it an Omega?
