OMEGA IN 1947

The year 1947 was a year of suspense for Omega. Just one year before the launch of the first Seamaster, Omega created one of the first Tourbillon watches which was one of the most complex mechanisms in watchmaking. Tourbillon movemements were mostly limited to pocket watches due to their complexion.

The Tourbillon from Omega went on to win numerous prizes and showed that a movement like that had a future in normal watches.

Another great year for Omega watches!
