In the early 1950s Omega designed the beautiful and elegant reference 2639. After a total of 16 small changes in design they came up with this exact watch: ref. 2639-16. Born in 1954 this stunning watch features a 35mm case made in stainless steel. Most noticeable however is the exquisite tropical gilt dial this watch houses. Black dials that have aged this well are extremely rare and attractive. The beautifully aged golden hour markers and applied logo that almost looks like rose gold accompany the gilt dial perfectly.

This wrist piece runs on the famous and reliable manual wound cal. 266 and features a sunken sub dial for its seconds hand. The condition of this watch is excellent for its age and shows no signs of over-polishing. Chamfors on the lugs can still be seen and there are small scratches on the screwdown caseback.
