Vintage Omega Seamaster 30 135. 003-62-SC
The 1960s were the golden age of Omega dress watches launching several iconic models and daring designs. One of those daring designs is definitely this very special Seamaster 30. This watch was born in France in 1963, made for the french market. Housed in a well proportioned 35mm case with a screwdown caseback is the In-house cal. 286, a manual wound movement. Winding the watch once a day, admiring the beauty of this piece, is truly a special moment of appreciation. The caseback features the famous hippocampus symbol which seamasters are known for. There is also a personal engraving ´H. backman´ as seen in the pictures showing that this watch has lived a life before and is ready for a second life full of enjoyment.
Most special however is the gorgeous texture dial, a white Honeycomb dial! This feature is rarely seen and makes this watch quite unique. With long stick hour markers together with beautiful custard patina on the hands and puffy lume plots this watch is something to admire. The condition of the case is excellent, showing no signs of polishing and still featuring sharp lug chamfors. The special honeycomb dial is in untouched condition and has a small mark below the index at 9. The hesalite crystal has minor surface scratches and the crown has been replaced with a non-marked crown.
What we love:
- Rare and gorgeous white Honeycomb dial
- Unpolished case in excellent condition
- Beautifully aged patina
What you should know:
- Small mark on dial at 9 index
