Reference 2690 was produced for the international Omega collection in 1952 (13xxxxxx). The 18k solid gold case with “honeycomb” dial is both extremely rare and very attractive. The dial has evenly darkened with age and forms a special champagne finish. The small contrast with the bezel creates an elegant two toned finish. There are 2 small black spots on the dial. There is an extra protective/antimagnetic plate over the movement, which is very rare for gold Omega’s. The down turned lugs make it even more classy. Haven’t found the same watch online, its rarity makes it a truly unique piece.
What we love:
- Incredible Honeycomb champagne dial
- Extra antimagnetic plate over movement
- Extremely rare
What you should know:
