Omega Geneve 1660168 ¨Green Vignette Spider¨ from 1973
Vignette dials have that mesmerizing degradation of color and can be found on dials of all types of brands. The special effect is created by having a certain bright color in the middle which becomes darker towards the outer rim of the dial. This bright to dark contrast creates incredible depth, and combined with a spider dial you can’t go wrong with this very special wristwatch!
This gorgeous Omega Genève 1660168 was born in 1973 and runs on the automatic cal. 1012 made by Omega. This sturdy and reliable movement is placed inside a 36mm stainless steel case with thick lugs and a bezel that sits low in the case. The dial on this watch is an insane green vignette spider dial. The spider effect is created when over a long period of time the lacquer on the dial creates little cracks, overtime making a web-like structure. The dial also features a nice patina in its lume plots and is in very good condition. The overall condition of this watch is excellent, with a small scratch on the caseback and a small dink on one of the lugs. The lume in the hour and minute hand has most likely been replaced at some point in this watch´s life.
